Contest rules "Be Fast & Fixed - Ectopic Winter Race"

• ORGANIZER

The organizer of the competition "Be Fast & Fixed - Ectopic Winter Race" is the ASSOCIATION OF PEOPLE WITH LOCOMMOTORAL DISABILITIES (CUI 30158402), with headquarters in Bucharest, General Berthelot Street, represented by Mr. MIRCEA IOAN CÂMPEANU, based on the association agreement with ECTOPIC SOCIETY EVENTS S.R.L. (CUI 46277787) represented by Mr. Alexandru Gliga with headquarters in Bucharest, Sector 1, Bratocea Street, No. 13, Room No. 1.

The competition will take place according to the provisions of these rules, which is binding for all participants.

The organizer reserves the right to amend these rules by announcing this on the website www.ectopicsociety.ro and on social media platforms.

The competition will be organised in accordance with the rules and regulations specific to the branch of sport, adapted by the sports structures, provided that they do not contradict the legal regulations in force.

The competition will be held only after obtaining the permits/agreements/authorisations required by law for the holding of the sports competition.

The Organiser reserves the right to postpone or cancel the competition at any time before the competition due to weather conditions, unsuitable snow cover, any emergency conditions imposed in the area of the competition area at the time or for other reasons that prevent the competition from being held in optimal conditions. The organiser also reserves the right to change the venue of the sporting competition.

The competition may also be cancelled on the morning of the competition if the referees decide that the conditions are not optimal for holding a ski and snowboard competition.

The competition is organised by the ASSOCIATION OF PEOPLE WITH LOCOMMOTORAL DISABILITIES (CUI 30158402) in association with ECTOPIC SOCIETY EVENTS S.R.L. (CUI 46277787).

• PURPOSE

The aim of the competition is to promote health and the practice of winter sports (skiing and snowboarding) among dentists and people in the dental industry, and to support and involve people with disabilities in sport.

• VENUE AND DATE

The competition will take place on the Subteleferic slope, in Poiana Brasov, Brasov County on 21.02.2023.

• CONDITIONS OF THE COMPETITION

The ski and snowboard competition will take place in a single slalom task in which the registered competitors who meet the conditions of participation will take part.

The organizers will appoint a COMPETITION DIRECTOR who will confirm or cancel the competition heat depending on: number of competitors, weather conditions, condition of the slope, safety conditions of the participants, presence of the RESCUE, RESCUE, etc.

• ARBITRATORS

Throughout the course there will be referees who will supervise the correct passage of the competitors through the gates set up on the course and will announce disqualification from the competition when necessary.

• TIMING

Will be provided with electronic equipment by qualified personnel and referees.

• COMPETITORS - CLASSIFIED ACCORDING TO PERFORMANCE LEVEL AND GENDER

The status of the competition is "register in", only registered competitors can line up at the start.

There will be four competition categories, into which all competitors will be placed:

Skiing:

• Women - Advanced Level
• Women - Intermediate Level
• Men - Advanced Level
• Men - Intermediate Level

Snowboarding:

• Women - Advanced Level
• Women - Intermediate
• Men - Advanced Level
• Men - Intermediate Level

• TRACK

The slope allocated for the competition will be the Subteleferic slope in POIANA BRAȘOV, BRASOV COUNTY.
The slope will be fenced with safety nets.

For the duration of the competition the Subteleferic slope will be closed to winter sports practitioners outside the competition. Access for spectators will be on foot.

• START ORDER

The starting order will be determined on the day of the competition and announced in advance.

Failure to start in the established order (late start) will result in loss of entry to the competition. Start lists will be sent by e-mail on Monday 20.02.2023 to all participants.

• PREMIERE

The times in the competition will be taken into account in descending order to determine the ranking.

Diplomas will be awarded to all participants, and for the first, second and third places in the competition, the following will be awarded 
Registration will be made on the basis of the registration form on the website www.ectopicsociety.ro.

Only skiers and/or snowboarders from the national and international dentistry and dental industry can enter the competition.

The organizer will consider the applications in order of arrival and after validation of the competition fee, participants will receive a confirmation e-mail. The organiser reserves the right to select participants.

By entering the competition, entrants agree and consent to the Organisers, partners and sponsors using their name, photo and video images taken during the competition for promotional purposes and in the production of any marketing materials.  

By entering the competition participants declare that they agree to the processing of personal data by the organizer as well as to their participation in the "Be Fast & Fixed - Ectopic Winter Race".

The maximum number of competitors will be 100 people, registration will be made in chronological order of receipt of applications, with a deadline of 20 February 2023 at 16:00.

Entry fee: 

The organiser has decided that the registration fee of 500 RON must be paid online on the Livetickets.ro website by clicking on the link

The competition entry fee is non-refundable.

The collection of the competition kit will be done on the day of the competition between 8:00 and 09:00 or on the day before the competition between 16:00 and 19:00, at the secretariat of the competition located in the reception of the Escalade Hotel in Poiana Brasov.

Failure to pick up the numbers at the above mentioned times will automatically lead to exclusion from the competition. 

• CABLE CAR / SKI LIFT CARD

The cost of the participants' cable transport will be included in the competition entry fee for the day of the competition only. 

• PROGRESS

The competition consists of a single competition run according to the competition rules. The winners will be determined by their times in the competition from highest to lowest. The competitor with the best time will be placed first and so on.

Competitors are allowed to reconnoitre the course with gates fitted, either by stepping up the slope on the edge of the course or by skiing gently through the gates in single file. Competitors are required to wear their assigned competition number. Skiing through the gates competition style during trail reconnaissance is prohibited and may result in exclusion from the competition. 

Competitors must be present in the start area at least 15 minutes before the start of the competition, according to the posted start list. Competitors who are late and do not respect the start order will be disqualified.

8:00-9:00 Distribution of competition numbers (at the SECRETARIAT)

9:15 Display of the start grid at the venue

9:30-10:00 Reconnaissance of the alpine ski and snowboard route

12:00 Start of the Alpine skiing final run

15:00 Start of snowboard final run

16:00 Display of final results

16:30 Award ceremony

The times of the programme may change depending on weather conditions, etc.

• EQUIPMENT 

Competitors will equip themselves appropriately to ensure their safety.

Wearing a helmet is compulsory. 

• PREMIERE

To determine the ranking, the times from the competition will be taken into account in descending order.

Diplomas are awarded for all participants, and for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each group and a medal each.

A general ranking will be organized, awarding the first three places in each category.

• MISCELLANEOUS

By entering the competition "Be Fast & Fixed - Ectopic Winter Race" participants agree to the provisions of these rules. Also, photos taken during the competition may be made public and used by the organizer for publicity purposes, without any further obligation on the part of the organizer.
